The food does take some time to arrive, but it's definitely worth the wait—deliciousness awaits! They say good things come to those who wait. The service is decent, so I recommend making a reservation. Also, if you’re not a big fan of sweets, don't miss out on their mousse; it's simply delightful!
What a charming and cozy little place! I’m so glad my friends and I chose to visit this restaurant during our trip to Grand Bend last weekend. The atmosphere, service, and food were all fantastic, and each of us left feeling completely satisfied. I would definitely love to return here in the future!
The food was exceptional, and the service was attentive and thorough. The atmosphere was cozy, featuring a tent outside adorned with twinkling lights, along with white linen tablecloths and napkins. I enjoyed a delightful selection of house-made desserts, including chocolate mousse, coconut cream pie, and a pistachio gelato chocolate chip cookie sandwich. For the main course, I savored the lamb bolognese, a buttermilk fried chicken Buddha bowl, and a Caesar salad that came with a homemade parmesan breadstick instead of croutons. The breadstick was a fantastic twist on the traditional crouton; it was served hot, with a crispy exterior and a soft, pillowy interior. Absolutely delicious!
We visited for dinner last night for the 8:00 p.m. seating. We wanted to try it before the summer mayhem starts. Everything was delicious. We had excellent service. Most of the menu is either gluten free or can be modified and there are even two dessert options that are gluten free. We definitely want to return! Note: Reservations well in advance are required during the busy summer season.
Our mains were delicious with great flavour, I have eaten here before and enjoyed the atmosphere out front and enjoyed the food. This time, we were seated in the back of the restaurant beside the bar, we could hardly hear ourselves talk over the cutlery drying that was happening right beside us, and the waitress banter about drinks and big groups and credit cards I felt like I was eating in the kitchen. When we got our desserts, there was a white cat or dog hair in the dessert, but no one was available to check in on us, so we pulled it out and ate around it. We were already given the bill early for the meal because our waitress was busy with her big group upstairs. I told one waitress about the hair and she seemed shocked and told the kitchen, but no one offered to do anything about it, so when it came time to pay, I asked if that dessert could be removed from the bill. The restaurant still charged us for half of the dessert which felt like we were splitting hairs. Lol. Overall, if you are seated in the back, ask for a different table, and if there’s hair in your food, point it out early I guess! Our waitress was lovely.
