Whataburger - Lampasas

We have visited this restaurant 4 or 5 times now and each time has been disappointing. We initially thought that maybe the cold food and long wait times were due to the restaurant being new in the city and always busy. However, the service has not improved and the staff is unfriendly. The fries are consistently cold, which is a major letdown. Our family is a fan of Whataburger, so we were excited when it came to the city, but unfortunately, we have been consistently disappointed by our experiences here.

My wife and I travel frequently for work and often find ourselves craving Whataburger late at night after long days. We have never been disappointed - the food is always fresh, the service is fast, and the crew is exceptional. They know us by name and are always friendly. Five stars are simply not enough to express our satisfaction.

We watched, with anticipation, the construction of the new Whataburger in Lampasas, Texas on our many frequent trips through town. We were excited to see Whataburger come to Lampasas, as Whataburger is a favorite of my husband's. We had passed through Lampasas many times after it opened waiting for the store to work out the kinks of being new before we stopped for a meal. On Wednesday evening (12/29/2021) we stopped in around 6:20 on our way back home. The restaurant was maybe 1/3 full. There was a pretty good line in the drive-thru. We placed our order (which the girl taking the order seemed pretty unsure of herself) and looked for a clean table at which to eat. The majority of the tables were dirty and there was food on the floor. We wiped the table we sat at with one of the disinfecting wipes that we carry with us because it had not been wiped down from previous diners. The women's restroom was dirty. AND THE FOOD???? WELL, LET'S JUST SAY NO ONE LIKES COLD, DRY BURGERS AFTER WAITING 20 OR MORE MINUTES FOR THEIR FOOD!! OBVIOUSLY, THE FOOD IS PREPARED AHEAD OF TIME AND SITS WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO ORDER. BOY, WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!! NEEDLESS TO SAY WE WILL BE DRIVING ON THROUGH AND NOT STOPPING AT WHATABURGER. WHAT A SHAME!!

They got my order wrong but they fixed it with no extra charge. I had ordered a Whataburger meal the clerk put in hamburgers only. Told the manager and she fixed it so I received my French fries and drink at no extra charge. The hamburgers and fries were hot and fresh.

Well the first burger was cold , the fries didn't have enough salt. They did make a new burger, it was ok. I went here because our group wanted to go. When I am in this town from now on I will stick to Bill's Burgers. I know I will get a great burger there..
