Azteca Mexican - Lancaster

It was our first time visiting Azteca, but it won't be the last. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was excellent.

I've eaten at this place quite a few times and there is a big difference between dining in and ordering food for pick up. The last four times I have gotten food to go the portions were small and the food was inedible. Rubbery enchilada, a chile rellanoe that was chewy and tough, and a beef taco that must have been sitting for hours. At almost $20 for a two item plate with rice and beans, this is a huge rip-off. You'd think they would want to keep locals coming back. I don't understand why the food is pretty good when dining in but it's almost like they serve up food that should be thrown away for To-Go orders. I'm done taking my chances with this place.

We were the only customers so the service was quick but aside from that, very hospitable.The restaurant is well ventilated (not too cold like 99% places during the summer), but it is too dimly lit with orange and red light bulbs (worse than the Cheesecake Factory).And the food was very mediocre and bland or other things were extra salty… but nothing was flavorful. I have honestly eaten and cooked a lot of authentic Mexican food in my life and this was very flavorless to say the least. What’s more is that then the quality to cost ratio is then not well justified. I would just like to fairly represent my experience here.

Always a great place to eat, service is fast and never had a bad meal here.

Jose and Family Brian Jose Jr. and waiters and waitresses always serve up great Mexican food and in a friendly family friendly environment. I have known Jose for over 25 years. The food is delicious and served in good portions at a reasonable prices. They always have customers dining there even during off hours and offer a large menu of excellent tasty food prepared traditionally. My go to dish is the Avocado Omelet. and Chicken Fahitas. My son loves the Chicken Enchilada as well as their chips salsa and much much more. ?
