A friend of mine and I decided to stay here overnight to attend a show at the American music theatre. This was my first time staying, but she had stayed many times before and always loved the experience. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and there were adequate amenities. The hotel itself has a great ambiance of being on a steamboat with a victorian feel. The decor is done very well! The hotel is also very conveniently located with parking close to one of the main entrances. Our only reason for not giving 5 stars was the food service. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, there just wasn’t enough people to adequately service the volume of people. Our first night we at at the tavern. They filled up shortly after we came in, and there were only two people working both the bar and the tables. It took us about 25 mins from the time we asked for the check, to actually get the check. Then the check charged us for two $11 mixed drinks when we only got one. We didn’t bother to have it fixed though because we figured it would take a while and we had a show we were going to be late for. Then, we had made reservations for the following morning to have breakfast at the huckleberry restaurant. While waiting to be seated, the couple in front of us became frustrated. They said they had been waiting for 20 minutes (also had reservations) and no one had seated them or even yet acknowledged them. They eventually decided to go elsewhere. We noticed there were only 2-3 people working for a full restaurant. They were friendly, and working so hard, but they’re only capable of so much. I always tip at least 20% unless a server is rude, but i know not everyone thinks that way. I would hate to see hard working people not make what they deserve in tips because they logistically can’t serve people in a timely fashion with that little staffing. Otherwise, the food was incredible! The property itself was awesome. A little playground nearby for kiddos, Adirondack chairs that sit around a pond full of ducks, pavilions with tables and chairs, cornhole boards, and a fire pit. This made for a very beautiful, relaxing evening! I would absolutely stay again, we might just consider eating elsewhere if the restaurants are busy and we have somewhere to be by a specific time!Rooms: Clean and comfortable! Top floor is adults only, which is nice if you are trying to escape the sound of kids!Nearby activities: Lots to do and conveniently located to access so many things! They offer adult swim 10p-midnight too which is awesome!
Quick trip down the road from Dutch Wonderland. Nice tavern inside. Good food. Great wine. Adult swim time in the pool at night.
Absolutely loved my stay here ! I took my Grands school shopping and had a 1 night stay. Loved the beds and hot tub was fabulous ?
Love it here! 3rd time staying at the Fulton Steamboat and each time it feels the same. Very welcoming and helpful staff, Resturant and bar at this hotel are really good. Rooms are clean and the amenities are awesome. We used the playground, fire pit and pool. They have many other amenities on the grounds which we did not have the time to use. Overall there is something for everyone to do here and the location is perfect as you are closing to shopping, outlets, amusement park and mini golf course (directly across the street). As always thank you to the staff at the Fulton Steamboat for another amazing vacation with the family!wRooms: Rooms are updated but have that vintage Victorian feel. Housekeeping comes daily and very friendly. Sheets and towels are clean and smell great. Bathroom and rugs are well kept.
