I thought about it and said they didn't have butter knives. they are expected to cut and broth with their steak knife to butter. not the end of the world, but low class for a place that calculates $23 $32 per adult escape. the whole food was delicious, but not all ribeye cooked to order and drink a lot of fat. what ruined the meal for me was the waitress jenny. it is obvious that this chain restaurant concentrates on pushing as many customers as fast as possible to sell more product increase in number of server tips. jenny might have also recorded an automated robot voice with her asking. she never smiled and didn't look out her pad. she served my daughter her drink and said she was back with a gruesome. that never happened. I know that server is busy and they are just human, but that is server 101. the impersonal service was continued during our visit. jenny is happy that my daughter has left 15% drinking money. I would have given her 5% on the basis of the customer service. we were several times in nys pre covid in longhorn. the service was always excellent. I know the customer service is on the hill and this is the new normal, but tonight it was terrible. eating is too expensive for what they get, but that is to be expected. excellent customer service would have made the culinary experience worthwhile overall. we just didn't get that. never again. visited on 30 December 2022
Had never been in a longhorn and was gone on vacation, and all the other opposing restaurants waited were crazy long, so after 2 or 3 stopps we decided to go here and wait to treat with the wait (I understand it, sat pm in a tourist area that they need to wait an hour).) was as they would expect a chain like steak house, nice inside, staff were great, but our waiter was not as good as us. Eating was good, really good. steak is as they would expect, but they have a more beautiful appeal than roadhouse or other low-level steak houses. drinking were good, sides were good! def will add longhorn to the reg list of places we visit home!
Have eaten in various longhorns in the run of the years and were always happy to visit this. my last visit to longhorn was in Williamsburg, va, where I had the best steak sandwich ever. but not today. both my man I had the handheld maverick rib eye sandwich that they recommend cooking medium. So we ordered it medium. the sandwich was seldom cooked with so much fat on the edges of the steak that we knew that no one even trims the meat a tad amount. the bee was greasy, but at least they kept the beeping as we demanded. I left the restaurant with nausea, but at least they still serve COKE products. our server had a fun personality, but never returned to see if we needed drinks refills. to the happiness my daughter sil enjoyed her shares. but we were disappointed. no more steak sandwiches for us.
Clean place to eat, waitress was perfect and punctual. but our steaks were not right. like ugh, why so pink! not what I ordered. but super friendly. next time, I'll just talk and ask you to cook a little more.
The staff was fast and accurate. Great service every time. The manager came by and asked how the food was, which shows how he cared about quality. It wasn't a loud place and the food is always outstanding. Even though it's a steakhouse, their chicken tenders are great with the Mac and cheese. I'm a picky eater, so I get basic foods but longhorn always provides excellent service.
