I really enjoyed our visit to the Boot and Shoe. The staff were really welcoming and the menu choice was excellent. The pub also boasts a proper pizza oven with handmade pizzas available. The beer was lovely and wife enjoyed the selection of gins.
The best vegan options I've seen on any menu. I had the choice of four things and chose the banana blossom in batter with chips which was amazing. I've never tried it before, it had the texture of fish and I don't think many people would realise it wasn't cod. I was too full for a pudding but couldn't resist the vegan cheesecake with sorbet. Again it was amazing. It was light and so tasty. It was all very reasonably priced; it was great not paying over the odds for vegan food which was tasty and so well presented. I'll have to return to try all the other options.
I visited at the beginning of the week with my mother, and we had a lovely dinner. A nice gentleman served us, and I truly appreciated how he took the time to accommodate my allergies, ensuring I was comfortable. The pizza my mother ordered looked fantastic. Overall, it's a great pub with friendly staff.
We enjoyed our meal here. It's a JW Lees pub, so the beer selection is excellent, featuring a variety of cask ales. The menu was straightforward to navigate, offering a wide selection of dishes. The service was quick, and our server was both friendly and informed. When our order arrived, it was hot and absolutely delicious.
