We had spargel soup with a veal dish--some of the very finest German food we have ever had. Very nice house aperitif. Salads with fresh yoghurt based dressing. There were four of us at the table and we all ordered something different. Courses arrived effortlessly and together. The two salmon dishes were good and one of our party ordered a menu with fish in a mustard sauce that was excellent. Very nice rhubarb tart with ice cream to finish--that took a few extra minutes since it was baked after we ordered--nothing is brought in off site. All house made, fresh, and seasonal. This is a very fine restaurant. There is small outdoor seating in the back, and a few accommodations for well behaved children. Prices are moderate for Europe, but the food is exceptionally fine. We were there for 3 hours with lots of time to enjoy the aperitif, consider the menu options, pause a short time between courses. This is not a place to rush. attentive wait staff who spoke some English and was extremely helpful. I suggest calling for reservations. They don't seem to answer email and the restaurant is not overly large. This is just west of Landstuhl in the Kaiserslautern area--you drive through the country and in very fine weather the drive is a wonderful part of the evening.
