Taj Mahal - Langenargen

We stopped here and had a mango and an acidic lassi. That was excellent. We also had a Pakora and a chicken medicine. It took a while... The Pakora was a piece of potato and a piece of cauliflower fried. No grams of flour. The chicken was also slightly spiced.

Good Indian cuisine is difficult to find in the Bodensee area and this restaurant is a gem. We ordered several dishes for our party of five and all were excellent. We ordered a mix of spicy and not so spicy foods. Butter Chicken is a...good choice if you like milder foods. The menu offers a wide variety of meat and vegetarian dishes. The service is attentive without being intrusive. There is no lake view from this restaurant, but the food is so good that shouldn't be a detriment. You can always take a short walk to the lake after dinner and use up those extra calories!!

Birjany was quite yummy. Really big portions. Naan bread is extra as well as 1€ per chutney. Very itensive taste with big chunks of cinnamon and other herbs in the meal. Careful when you take a bite

This restaurant owner/chef used to be located in Wangen, but has now moved to Langenargen. In Wangen, I had only eaten there at lunchtime where they offered an excellent, low priced buffet. However, I can now report that their evening meals at their new location, are...superb! The food is very well prepared, aromatically spiced (typical North Indian) and of course you can request the degree of spicyness you prefer. While not cheap, the food is really good value if you appreciate traditional Indian cuisine. The service (cook and his wife) is very good and they speak English!

Ich kann mich nicht erinnern schon mal soo unglaublich lecker gegessen zu haben. Ein geschmackliches Feuerwerk für den Gaumen. Hier wird mit Liebe und Leidenschaft gekocht, das schmeckt man. Unglaublich viele exotische Gewürze werden verwendet, ein Teil davon ist im Essen enthalten kann aber nicht wirklich mit gegessen werden, das hat die sehr freundliche Bedienung jedoch im Vorfeld top erklärt - das mit den Gewürzen ist auch völlig OK wenn man es weiß. Ich bin auf jeden Fall ein großer Fan und zukünftiger Stammgast vom ersten riechen und schmecken an. Das äußere Erscheinungsbild lässt (leider) nicht vermuten was für eine TOP-Küche das Lokal betreibt, wird der exclusiven Küche nicht ausreichend gerecht. Aber schließlich kommt es auf das Essen und den Service an und hier stimmt wirklich alles! Ich komme gerne wieder und wieder und wieder......
