Contribuisci feedbackThis restaurant deserves a perfect 10 for its delicious taste. The Vietnamese lady who cooks the food customizes it to your liking as there is no menu. She completely transformed our Pho to be 100% vegan, and it was the most flavorful broth we have ever tasted (we had to confirm that it was indeed vegan). Though it may be a small hole-in-the-wall establishment, it is definitely a hidden gem. The prices are reasonable and the quality of the food is exceptional.
This restaurant serves the best pho in the area, by far. The decor and ambiance may not be anything special, but the soup is exceptional. The cook, who doesn't speak much English, may not come by to check on you, but this is common in Vietnamese restaurants. The broth is truly delicious.
We visit this restaurant at least once every two weeks. I absolutely adore pho, and the pho here is the best I've had on Vancouver Island. The broth is incredibly flavorful, and the sprouts, lime, and basil are always fresh.
Best Beef Pho. You wouldn't know that Culis Market had a vietnamese restaurant in it just by driving by. I was looking for a place for lunch one day and saw that they were in the Reflections building close by and decided to try it. <br/ <br/ The food: I got a bowl of Pho and it was absolutely the best beef pho I have tried yet! The broth tastes like its been cooking for hours and the meat was really nice. I have also been there to try salad rolls which were pretty good, and my hubby has tried the Bahn Mi. He said it wasn't the best Bahn Mi, just ok. I've also gotten bubble tea there and it has been good!<br/ <br/ The service: The people that run this place are so nice! The older gentleman is so sweet and very attentive and the lady has been really nice as well. <br/ <br/ The decor: Like I said, you wouldn't know the place by driving by! It is a little strange that it is shared space with the market as well.. so you dine surrounded by shelves, but the dining area looks like they have at least made lots of effort to keep it separate. It is nice and bright inside too, which is good.
Authentic Viet fare!. Best Viet food I've had on the island. Not much on the decor and ambiance depth but great food at a very modest price. You won't be leaving here hungry. Make sure to try the spring rolls and Bahn Mi.
