My coworker took me here for a farewell lunch & it was a great visit. This humble eatery serves a quality meal for a modest price. Service is 'ok' but overall it's worth the visit. I'll be back!
My husband and I drove by the restaurant a few times while traveling through Langley, and decided to give it a try for a late lunch. The ambiance is just okay, and the service was so-so (when we were the only ones in the restaurant we asked if she could turn the music volume down a notch, but she said it wasn't possible . . . ???) But we were both more than pleased with our meals and sold on the food! My husband normally orders fajitas at Mexican restaurants, but since they weren't offered on the menu he went with the Chile Relleno. He thoroughly enjoyed his meal and raved about the hot sauce the waitress brought for him. My Chorizo Burrito was scrumptious with just the right amount of heat! We both agreed that the food tasted fresh, homemade and authentic. Yes, we will go back!
Like a lot of people coming through the door, we utilized Cielito Lindo as an alternative to Viva Mexico because it was packed with a lineup of people waiting. We wandered down to CIelito and noticed it wasn't busy and said sure. It's a smaller place, with some decorations on the wall and the kitchen at the back. It's clean, with a menu out front for no surprises. We were greeted a few minutes after we sat down, and handed some menus. The server came across slightly short, but not rude, but not friendly. We ordered a couple burritos, mine was the GRAND! I also ordered a lime margarita and my fiance had a coke. Oddly for a mexican restaurant, there was no typical chips and salsa delivered, although you can order some on the menu. The food arrived in a reasonable time. Our orders were reversed, but we swapped quickly and were fine. The food is decent. It's nothing fancy, and there is nothing about it to make me say WOW. The server never checked up on us, until we were finished and she came by to pickup our plates and tell us to pay at the counter. Overall, it's not a bad place, and an ok alternative when have a hankering for Mexican and Viva is too busy. Although, with a large expansion coming for Viva shortly, I suspect their business may take a hit.
I have been here several times. Every time I have been satisfied until this visit. I am sitting here right now waiting for my food. I watched the lady in the back coming to the front well wiping her nose with her fingers not her arm. She proceeded to the back to prepare food. I stood up to watch and saw her not wash her hands then prepare our dinner. I will never come back here....shame on you!!
