We called in here for lunch on a holiday to Brittany. The front of the restaurant is smart and the interior is homely and authentically french. There is an extensive menu with a few options for lunch on set menus and an a la carte menu too. I chose the burger and fries as on previous reviews they said it was very good. My husband had a steak. Both were great. The meat was melt in the mouth. I then had the café gourmand selection of desserts, ice cream, crème brulee and profiterole. It was again lovely. My husband had the cheese selection. He particularly liked one of the cheeses and asked the waitress what it was called. She told him and then wrote it down for us. The waitress was especially friendly and lovely throughout the meal with very good English which helped with our mediocre French. A lovely lunch with friendly staff what more could you ask for.

Despite having no near competitors, the lady "patronne" and her team are welcoming and ready to accomodate their customers' unusual requests if they can. We were in something of a hurry so they served us quickly but with attention to detail, nevertheless taking the time to talk. I will definitely go back for a more leisurely visit next time we're in the area.
