Restaurant Maurette - Lannemezan

Finally, I found a real French restaurant serving excellent dining, accompanied by attentive and caring service, all at a very reasonable price. my lunch was error-free, cook 4 courses of pure French home best. the chez maurette does not evaluate 5*s, they...contain 10!!!. I have to say, if you want to eat good without swallowing all the modern ones, then you can visit here the fastest. without hesitation I would be happy to visit again, and in any case I am looking forward to doing this.

If they find themselves in lannemezan, they can't be better than lunch in chez maurette if they get a table! for about forty British pounds for two, they will dinate very well. my personal recommendations would be salade de gesiers and...Noix de boeuf. but they have four courses to choose, so take their time! the location is strictly operated by the family. avoid them on Wednesdays, the market day is and therefore always difficult.

It looks like nothing from the outside, but the inside of the restaurant takes you back quite a few years. Rugby team photos from the 1920 's onwards adorn the bar, the tables chairs have seen a few decades of use [but are still immacualate! ...We had the 4 course 'menu du jour ', 25cl of wine a coffee each. 34€ for both of us. We had potage [vegetable soup , charcuterie [cold meats followed by lamb or boeuf en daube[beef stew . Then we chose creme caramel for our deserts. All the food was well cooked, plentiful, and the service was excellent in this family run restaurant. Worth visiting PS the menu changes on Wednesdays [market day to include the beef stew!

Whilst many old fashioned basic true French restaurants are closing in our area of the Hautes Pyrenees, this one provides a welcoming ambience , excellent service and good reasonably priced menus for fixed price lunches and evening meals. A pleasure to experience the old fashioned...style of home cooking, and the advantage of a family restaurant.
