Mitchell's Fish Market - Lansing

Always a great experience on all levels at Mitchell's food, staff, ambience. We're repeat customers, which says it all.

We had the fixe prix Thanksgiving dinner. It exceeded all expectations; it was beyond delicious. We also had a plate of oysters extra, and that was great, too! We were also able to choose a very nice bottle of wine for dinner. Our waitress was excellent, but the helper that actually brought out some of the dishes in support of the waitress was not coordinating very well. For instance, to both our and the waitress ' dismay, the helper brough out our desserts while we were still in the middle of dinner. It was Thanksgiving and fairly busy but coordinating the delivery of plates should not be that great of a challenge.

Our food was phenomenal. The ahi tuna bowl was delicious and the butternut squash Mac and cheese was to die for. The Caesar salad tasted so fresh and the crab cake was the same. We really enjoyed our meal.

Ordered dishes came wrong. Drinks prepared wrong. Service was slow. Food was cold.

Fish was fishy and dry, but pricey. So so meal for a “great meal” price. Was OK but doubt I would come back.
