I had a terrible experience at this establishment. The room was barely equipped, with just one thin sheet and two small towels—no shampoo provided, either. On our second day, I found that the room hadn’t been cleaned, and there were dead bugs all over the floor. When I asked for clean towels, the staff refused to provide any. I also requested a blanket and was told there were none available. The air conditioning unit was cheap and excessively noisy. To top it off, there was an invasion of ants in the bathroom, which were biting our feet. Now, let’s discuss the restaurant. On our first night, there were hardly any items available on the menu. There were no soft drinks for either of the nights we stayed. On the second night, we were served just four tiny pieces of chicken with rice, leaving us hungry after the meal. As for breakfast, it was laughable. The first day, we were offered one egg and a small deep-fried hotdog—how appetizing! There was no juice or coffee provided. The second day was almost as poor, with a single, shriveled sausage in place of the hotdog. If you're on a diet, this place might work for you. My message to Shorestop Inn is this: you are not a resort. Please invest in food for your restaurant, clean your rooms for your guests, and stock up on basic necessities like bed sheets, blankets, towels, soap, and shampoo. Providing some washcloths and bug spray wouldn’t hurt, either. Lastly, I typically leave a $20 tip, but this time it wasn’t deserved. I kept it to buy real food at a nearby establishment.
The restaurant is clean and serene, making it a lovely spot to relax during your vacation.
