Joellas's Hot Chicken Largo

Don't really care to post reviews ever, but this place deserves it.The service was very good, food came out promptly and the staff were friendly. However my chicken sandwich was extremely greasy, the tweener sauce was mediocre and the chicken was somehow quite bland. The chicken portion was very generous and the fries were pretty good...however you're better off getting a chicken sandwich at any other establishment for the price point and quality.Came here in 2019 when it opened and I remember it being a lot better, I would avoid this joint.

I agree with the review below. How is this place not busier? The chicken is really great. The prices are right. The atmosphere is nice. The employees are smiling. They were even playing sports today in the restaurant. Parm fries. Southern sweet tea. We were given real silverware when we dined in. The dessert came in a real glass jar. Check out Joella’s!

It completely blows my mind that this place isn't busier! I've been here several times and every time it's super good. Quality chicken and authentic Nashville hot style sauce. I was just in Nashville recently and did a comparison with 3 other Nashville hot chicken places. Joella's came in 2nd! The staff here, especially the lady manager, are always pleasant. If you haven't already, definitely come check this place out!!

I have to admit, i have never had chicken and waffles before tonight. I have had plenty of chicken tenders at all of the other new chicken tender restaurants. All the same lame chicken...Forget the other reviews...This place is freaking good. And I am now bought into the chicken and waffle thing way too many years to late. The chicken tenders are huge. They are very moist, and the way the batter comes off, you can tell these are hand dipped onsite. This spicy honey, is out of control. Forget Franks redhot, I could literally put this sht on everything. I come to Largo every now and then, and I will be back! Great job!! Highly recommended

The dine in experience was great! Absolute pleasure being there. We ordered 3 meals: 2x three tender meals, one hot and blue cheese dipping sauce with the kale crunch salad and the other “Joellas’s favorite” for the seasoning and sauce with Garlic Parmesan fries, and the two thighs meal with collard greens and BBQ dipping sauce. The hot tenders were delicious! Just enough heat that hits ya in the back of the throat and very well seasoned. I ordered the kale crunch salad without Parmesan cheese, the dressing was nice and light with a good flavor to it. The kale was cut too small, almost shredded, which made it hard to eat, but I ate it all. The blue cheese dipping sauce was really good! Had a nice pungent taste you’d expect with blue cheese and it was nice and creamy. I didn’t get to try the “Joellas’s favorite” seasoning on the tenders but it must have been good because my brother ate it all so fast, lol. The sauce was really good, like a sweet and mellow honey mustard. The fries were very tasty! The Parmesan was fresh and very apparent with just enough garlic and herbs to compliment. On the one thigh the breading seemed like it fell off a little, but the seasoning was good, nonetheless. My dad can be picky sometimes but he ate every bite! The collard greens were really tasty, there’s a spice in there that’s really good, just can’t put our finger on it. The BBQ sauce seemed like it needed something but it wasn’t bad. Kadeem was the man who seasoned it all and he was very pleasant and kind to be around. He check in with us and made sure our experience was good. The woman in there was so bubbly and fun, absolutely a great person to talk to. We didn’t get to speak with the cashier that much but he was kind as well. Overall a great experience. We will be back soon! We’ll bring more people with us if we can. Thank you for the service.
