I paid £14 plus some change, with the cards costing £4.99 and the latte £3.40, leaving £6.00 for the toast and hot water. The woman who served us, the senior staff member, was rude, especially when I mentioned that I couldn't drink from the cup because she had handed it to me with her fingers spread over the top where you drink, instead of by the handle. I'm not sure if I was overcharged for pointing this out, but what I do know is that the prices were outrageous, especially considering a round of toast on the ferry costs only £0.75. If I were to travel on the Larne ferry again, I wouldn't recommend buying from this cafe.
Last week, we traveled on the 11 am ferry from Larne and discovered upon arrival at the port that there was a 2-hour delay. We were provided with refreshment vouchers, so we decided to visit the cafe to use them. Despite the obvious stress the staff were under due to the delays, they managed very well in my opinion. We enjoyed delicious paninis and toasties, along with excellent coffee. I would certainly suggest stopping by this cafe if you are traveling.
For anyone heading out on a boat trip or looking for a quick snack, I highly recommend the coffee shop at Larne Harbor. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the food is delicious even for picky children. A solid 10/10 experience!
An absolute sh@tshow. One of the staff actually commented‘Jesus f*cking Christ’ when an elderly lady couldn’t find where the spoons were! No thank you, please or even hello from a stony faced staff member who then told us to leave as soon as we’d finished our very bland sandwiches! I would recommend bringing sandwiches to the ferry terminal and give this den a miss!
The homemade soup, bread and sandwich were so tasty! Food that tastes like home! The staff were so friendly and welcoming! Thank you!
