While it doesn't quite compare to The Cheesecake Factory, the portions were enormous, and prices were more affordable than in California. I had previously visited Brio in Torrance, which was much better, but sadly they closed during the pandemic. The service was good, and they seemed busy, so there’s definitely potential for improvement. That said, I’m not eager to return in the near future.
The food here is excellent—definitely one of my favorite Italian restaurants. When it's busy, the wait for orders can be quite long, but that's understandable. I prefer to come for lunch to avoid the crowds. The staff is generally good, but sometimes you have to request items like bread or cheese for your pasta since they don’t automatically provide them, which can be a bit frustrating. The gelato and other desserts are fantastic. Overall, this place remains one of my top picks.
My husband and I prefer to sit in the bar area, which is generally less crowded and offers exceptional service (more often than not, Jesus is our bartender). My absolute favorite appetizer is the Gorgonzola Lamb Chops—simply divine! It features three tender lamb chops with a Gorgonzola crust, served in a marsala sauce alongside a small portion of sautéed spinach. Delicious! For my main course, I absolutely adore the Strawberry Balsamic Chicken Salad. It includes grilled chicken, mixed greens, strawberries, grapes, spicy candied pecans, Gorgonzola cheese, and balsamic vinaigrette. The combination of flavors is remarkable and complements each other beautifully. The restrooms are typically clean, the staff is friendly, and the service is top-notch. The food is exceptional! I highly recommend this restaurant!
If you are looking for a perfect weekend lunch spot, look no further. The place can always sit a decent crowd so even without a reservation you can get in. Great menu and bar for a relaxing time are guaranteed.
Jen Sage served us on the patio. We started of with an appetizers of Buschetta Sampler perfect for 2 to share. There are 2 pieces each of 3 different styles. Loved them all. Second course was Chicken Lemone Lasagna both were fabulous. The Lasagna had a twist of bolognese topping the center section Alfredo on both ends. Both meals were large enough to share. We finished the evening out with dessert of Warm Chocolate Cake. I would go there again for a special occasion.
