Handel's Homemade Ice Cream - Las Vegas

This is one of the best ice cream shops near our home. I've been here before, but I never wrote a review until now. This place truly deserves recognition for its friendly and efficient staff. The lines can get a bit long at times, but the team does a great job taking care of their customers. This time, I opted for an extra thick vanilla milkshake instead of my usual scoop. I was impressed by the amount of vanilla ice cream and extract they used—it made for the thickest milkshake I’ve ever had! It was delicious. My husband tried a vanilla ice cream sandwich, which was also incredibly tasty.

The store looks old-fashioned and I expected something simple yet good old-fashioned real ice cream. A guy was taking our orders and making them. He was very nice. I ordered 4 sample scoops, vanilla, pistachio, strawberry, and chocolate almond flavors, and they were not good at all! Basically, they are very low-quality ice cream. I couldn?t taste cream period. It was simply low-quality, sugary goo. They probably use gum or some strange ingredients to make the creaminess. The strawberry, pistachio, chocolate flavors, and colors are all imitations. So little bit of pistachio and almond pieces which are also flavorless. The prices are good but now I know why. They are not spending on quality ingredients.

Great place to get that creamy yummy homemade feel ice cream! It?s a take to go place so there?s no place to dine in but there?s benches outside. I had an ice cold creamy pecan praline that was heavenly and soft with just enough crunchy pecans. Hubby got himself the blue monster which was a lighter blue than the photos but he enjoyed it. The blue is a mystery so we?ll keep it a mystery for now. We found a coupon online under Valpack for 2 waffle cones single scoop for $7.50 and they were quite generous with the scoops. I?ll be going back again soon

Been there several times and get the quarts to go. They hand pack very fairly just the way Alice Handel would approve of. The ice cream is fantastic. Creamy and full of flavor. Natural ingredients. Expensive but worth it. Always busy but the line moves quickly. Black raspberry is my go to flavor but going to try salted caramel chocolate next!

10/15/22. First of all the ice cream was 5/5. Just poor customer service. New policy of no samples. Handels has some unique flavors so the no samples thing is super lame. I?m not going to spend $5 on a whole scoop of ice cream that I end up disliking. After ordering an adult scoop of ice cream, I ordered 2 baby cones for my kids in the car. The young man said, ?oh?yeah?actually the baby cones are only for little kids or babies.? I replied ?yeah, I?ve got two little kids in my car right now.? So to recap: skimping on the samples and then some serious vetting to insure I wasnt stealing 2 tablespoon scoops of vanilla ice cream for myself. Let me know when samples are back.
