The only downside was the lazy river had only been open one day so there wasn't enough time for the heater to make the water warm. The heated pools were great for a 70° spring day.
Going to any pool over a holiday weekend is going to be a busy but I was still impressed with the overall cleanliness when the pool was at capacity. Lots and lots of bars and restrooms so you never have to go very far from your lounge. The Lazy River is a good length. PRO TIP: bring your own tube or you have to buy one if you want to float, otherwise just walking is fun too.
This was a really fun pool complex but as the day went on, the trash wasn’t picked up around the lazy River so it felt like swimming through a dump. Areas of the premises smelled like hot trash. Of course that wouldn’t be a problem if the pool goers would just put their garbage in a trash can. The lazy River was crowded and you need to purchase floaties $25+ each). The staff was helpful and thoughtful in our reserved seating area. It’s also a bit funny that they have paper straws but then don’t recycle any of the waste but if the visitors can’t put stuff in a can to begin with, I can’t imagine they would sort their waste.
We got a cabana at the MGM and it was the best money I 've ever spent in Vegas. We had a personal server and tubes for the river we got a big credit for food and alcohol. Awesome way to recover and 'rehydrate ' after a night out ; . Also, we weren 't staying at MGM but they were cool enough to still let us rent. Highly recommend MGM pool aside from all that, may be my favorite Vegas pool and I 've been to most. Thanks MGM! see you next time.
Great time to relax and enjoy a refreshing drink, many pools to choose from and hot tubs. They have a river shaped pool where you can float around on inflatable tubs.
