My friends and I arrived around 10am and were pleasantly surprised to find no line and enough seating for all eight of us. However, the chef informed us that they had run out of oysters, sausages, and crab, which was a bit disappointing, especially since one of my friends had been looking forward to the gumbo. Just after we placed our order, though, they received a fresh shipment of oysters, allowing us to switch our appetizers from clams to oysters. The oysters were incredibly fresh and meaty, and I enjoyed every bite. My friend and I shared a pan roast, which I highly recommend because the portion is massive. We ordered it with a level 7 spice, and it was prepared right in front of us. Each bite was packed with flavor and wonderfully creamy—I honestly couldn't get enough!
The food was delicious! Unfortunately this restaurant was closing in one week. The oysters were delicious. The salmon was very good.
I'm sorry to report that the Oyster Bar at Harrah's has closed. Unfortunately, other similar restaurants like Big Al's at Orleans and the Oyster Bar at Palace Station just don't measure up. With the Oyster Bar gone, Harrah's lacks any compelling reason to visit. It's truly disappointing.
Sorry to see this place go! Its closing on Sunday. Always had great service. Moon is one of the best for Customer service. No other place like this on the strip!! Harrah's is crazy for letting this place go, just to be replaced by Gordon Ramsey. Special recognition to Remy and Mat as well.
