Second Street Grill - Las Vegas

I want to share my experience regarding our trip to Second Street for a meal on a Wednesday. After making the journey, we were disappointed to find a sign on the door that said CLOSED.

I had breakfast here this morning, and the menu was quite different from that at the sister hotel, The Cal. I really liked it! They even claimed that their Oxtail soup was better, which made me laugh. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendly service as well.

We visited this restaurant for breakfast using food vouchers from our stay at the California. The mushroom and spinach omelet was absolutely delicious, and the corned beef hash was also quite tasty. It was one of the best breakfasts we enjoyed during our trip. We will definitely come back!

This restaurant is situated within the Fremont Casino and is part of the Boyd Gaming group, which also includes the California Hotel and Casino and the Main Street Casino. We took advantage of the Aloha coupon booklet for breakfast, which includes discounts on menu items marked with a palm tree. My husband ordered the corned beef hash while I enjoyed the mushroom and spinach omelette, both served with a choice of potatoes and bread. The portion sizes were very generous. I would happily return even without a coupon. The coffee was constantly refilled, and the service was excellent and attentive.

If you're in the mood for great food with a touch of classic Las Vegas charm, be sure to visit the Second Street Grill! A little tip: this hidden gem is tucked away at the back of the Fremont Hotel. While the restaurant may not have the most impressive appearance, the service is excellent, the portion sizes are plentiful, and the food is tasty. I wholeheartedly recommend checking it out and can't wait to return myself!
