Vesper - Las Vegas

Yes! This bar lives up to the name: they make the BEST Vesper Martinis I have ever had, and the bartenders live to discuss what they do. If you love classic cocktails at very reasonable prices, this is your place.

This is a very laid-back bar located in the lobby of the Chelsea Tower at Cosmopolitan. I tried the Gilded Age, a refreshing lemony cocktail made with Mezcal and Tequila, which I really enjoyed. My friend ordered the Champ Elysees, a classic drink from 1930 made with Remy Martin, chartreuse, and lemon. Both drinks were tasty and not overly strong. The atmosphere is welcoming, with friendly bartenders and plenty of cozy nooks to relax in. I’d definitely return; it has great potential as a hangout spot.

The atmosphere is truly what sets this place apart. Make sure to check in, drop off your belongings, and head to the Vesper Bar before you venture into the casino. It's the ideal spot to catch up with friends before or after a show at the Chelsea Theater, kick off a girls' (or guys') weekend, or simply relax and enjoy some excellent people-watching as you observe the fantastic and beautiful individuals passing by. The setting is exquisite, and both the drinks and the staff are exceptional. In a city filled with bars that often fall short of expectations, the Vesper Bar stands out and won’t disappoint.

I usually just breeze past lobby bars, thinking they lack the appeal of restaurants or lounges—except for the Vesper Bar. More specifically, that’s thanks to a bartender named Alejandra. Although she looks a bit too young to be serving alcohol, she is one of the most knowledgeable and charismatic bartenders I've ever encountered. Her passion for classic cocktails and their histories is evident, and she readily offers drink suggestions without ever coming across as intimidating or condescending. Thanks to her expertise, I’ve been able to try a variety of cocktails, wines, and even beers that I probably wouldn’t have explored on my own. I've watched her connect with all sorts of patrons, making each one feel special and ensuring they have a fantastic time at the bar. Although she’s an 'on-call' bartender and not always at Vesper, keep an eye out for her in almost any of the bars at The Cosmopolitan.

Nice little bar at the Cosmo. Classic and reimagined cocktails tasted great. My favorite was the Elysian Field organic Hardy Cognac, Elation Pear Cognac with bitters, Lemon and Coconut Chai Syrup. Our server was great and checked on us regularly. Not inexpensive, but quality ingredients are used.
