5 stars for the food! Spent more than a year in Peru in previous years, and the food you would find in this restaurant tastes exactly the same as what you would have in Peru. Authentic and very delicious! Took us back to those days. I've tried a couple of Peruvian restaurants in LA, and this one's the best I've tried! The place was just a bit dark inside, but other than that, it was all good!
Here it is, the best Peruvian Restaurant in California : If you want real, authentic Peruvian food, cooked from the heart, spare that flight to Lima and come here. The Lomo Saltado, Aji de Gallina, and the Ceviche Mixto were cooked with authentic accuracy. Other places pretend to cook Peruvian food with a mix of Mexican preparation and ingredients, and some have added gourmet non sense. We spent over 8 months in Peru, I can tell you this is the only place that matches the cooking in Lima perfectly!! Our toddler was so happy with the food he started dancing!
Been wanting to try this place and it did not disappoint!I'm Peruvian so I'm always trying to find the best place around the bay.Decided to start with traditional breakfast pan con chicharron I gotta say it's probably the best one I've had so far. Meat super tender and juicy. Also the tamal was very Peruvian most places that sell tamales something is always missing.I was basically in Peru for a minute. The chicha was on point too.I will be coming back to try the seafood and chicken! Worth the drive from Pleasanton.Super friendly owner too!
Food is delicious. I wish service was faster. Be nice if they had more servers. Other than that, I'm recommending this place to friends and family. Lomo Saltado is super!
