The presentation was lackluster, and I felt I wasted a significant amount of money for a subpar experience. The flavors were bland and uninspiring. The pickles were acceptable but should be labeled "Pickles and Wobble," as they were just mediocre. I found that about 35% of the jar was overpriced for what it was. The hot pepper shakers were fine, but nothing memorable. Overall, I wouldn't return; it certainly wasn't worth the money I spent. I regret spending $70 at this establishment, trying to support local business, but it turned out to be an embarrassing choice.
The restaurant offers fantastic products made with local ingredients. I'm particularly fond of their chimichurri, which is featured on nearly every dish. I would rate them 5 stars; however, I'm not a huge fan of their pickles, as they tend to be a bit experimental for my taste. I haven't visited the restaurant in person since I order all their products through Harvie.
Wow! My mother just shared some **** Mary pickles from The Pickled Cook, and they are hands down the best! I really wish they were available where I live in Florida!
Please, don't let her get out of the PICKLED war! my man, my daughter, and I went to the maimarkt am phipps conservatory, where we bought 3 items from the pickled chef. we had a problem with the dill pickle ranch dressing. the dill pickle ranch dressing went bath in our refrigerator before the best use of date. the dill pickle dip separated into liquid and helped chunks. that's all. the dip pickle dip has hunted all the time over the lid. it made a huge slimming in our refrigerator, and the product went bad long before the best use by date. I called the company and sent a message explaining what happened and asked for a refund. I waited 3 weeks and the company never returned my call. my message was just ignored. I called for a second time and spoke to the owner who called himself chief. he stopped all the shows that would be the pickled chef so he could replace the ransomed eating. he never offered me a refund! why should I take a chance with another of their products that could also go badly before the best use buy date? it is not the responsibility of the customers to travel to show that they only do to get a replacement product. the owner said he couldn't do anything until he found my discovery store entrance. after that I never heard of the company again until I filed a complaint with the better business bureau. I had never asked a restaurant/deli to buy a certificate when the food item was called. most companies will apologize and refund the purchase price will not ask. of course, if I see the unopened glass, photos of the dill pickle ranch dressing from the lid, and photos of the best use up to date on the glass, I must have bought the product. How else would I have gotten that big? it is offensive to tell a customer that they need to locate a charge input first before they can give them a replacement basket for a rancid product! it was obvious that the pickled chef did not stand behind their products and the way and how the solution of their customer complaints is simply ignore them. obviously keep their products not as long as they think they do!
PLEASE DO NOT BUY ITEMS FROM THE PICKLED CHEF! My husband, my daughter, and I went to The May Market at Phipps Conservatory, where we purchased 3 items from The Pickled Chef. We had a problem with the Dill Pickle Ranch Dressing. The Dill Pickle Ranch Dressing, which was in our refrigerator, actually pushed the lid up and started oozing down the sides of the jar. It made a huge mess in the refrigerator and smelled terrible! The first thing I did was check the BEST USE BY DATE which was still good. I called the company and left a message explaining what happened and asked for a refund. I waited 3 weeks and the company never returned my call. I called a second time and spoke with a guy who referred to himself as The Chef. I explained that we had a problem with an item and again asked for a refund. He told me that he needed to locate our Discover card purchase and then he would get back to me, but never did. I told him that I took several pictures of the unopened jar with the Best Use By Date. I obviously purchased the item, if I had both the jar and pictures!!! The majority of craft show vendors are wonderful to deal with, and they stand by their products if there is a problem, but this is not true of the The Pickled Chef! Companies survive or go under based on how they treat their customers, and this company really treated us poorly, by refusing to address the rancid Dill Pickle Ranch Dressing problem! I plan to notify The Better Business Bureau to inform them that THE PICKLED CHEF products are going bad before the Best Use By Date.
