This is a gem of a find and most definately worth a visit.The beer is made across the road and is very good. Talk about good local beer, this place ticks the boxThe food here is traditional Franconian so if you like meat especially beef or pork then this is a place to enjoy this traditional fare at its best.The staff are very friendly and helpful.I have visited several times and it always has a good number of people in, so if you wish to avoid disappointment I suggest you reserve a table.

Our hike took us through this village and we needed to gather our strength, so a small lunch was calld for. The restaurant belongs to the brewery, so there's always fresh local beer available including some smaller batches of special brews not available anywhere else. The food was well-prepared typical Franconian countryside food, i.e., tasty and heavy.During the lunch time the place was pretty full, so if you're planning to visit on public holiday or Sunday or with a larger group, a reservation wouldn't probably hurt. The next time we're near here, we will be visiting the restaurant again.
