O'Keefe's Hotel - Launceston

Ok so first service friendly request. eat, would not go back, but edible massiw oversized meals very old school card I am sure that this appeal for some. so a start each for these them, but overall, the environment is the murderer. dismal is the best word I can conjure. I counted 6 TV screens in my own (we where in the dinning area, not the bar) most play keno other in tw. somewhere, that is not a sportable with tw is immediately out of the list anyway, and anywhere where the luck game at the esstic is acceptable it is also out of the list, but if that is not the old bars inside, dark gray metal counter. read more

From the bar to the escap. stood at a sign waiting to sit for a while while 3 girls behind the bar to see who chat under themselves. I sat myself at some point. a bit later I went into the bar to order a meal and was informed that I would have to release the table around 7 o'clock (that was about 6 o'clock) I volunteered to leave the hotel and did this and will not return

One of the worst pub dishes I have burned steak, kartoffels undercooked (a thing I can't take off is kartoffel not boiled price was $29 but would not give me a good discount for the meal I haven't eaten. ambiente not exactly welcoming and staff very rude and abrupt! Apart from that we had to wait almost 40 minutes to eat steak, only take 5 minutes to cook and they were not exactly busy. fortunately we found some really nice restaurants in launceston for the rest of our stay. Unfortunately, my travel companions, who also did not complain or speak like their meals, do not want to make a fuss.

Friendly, friendly staff. they make nightly specialties and we came for the $16 250g rump steak, it was delicious and we also had salt pepper squid for one that was also delicious. would not recommend for fine eating, but for those looking for a simple pub and fill meal.

Very nice. Been there the last 2 nights it was good both nights I had the salt and pepper squid the 1st night and the 2nd night It was a steak special for $15.00 can't go wrong at that price and the staff were very good also , will go again next time I am in Launceston
