Fantastic camp ground especially after the long dusty road from Weipa where you can enjoy grass and hot showers

Keep driving is my advice. You can do better.Unfortunately the local community put on a performance to sour the best camp ground, not that this is anything close.Dated facilities, adjacent to road train traffic and overpriced for what it is.From dusk to dawn there was screaming abuse from drunken and violent locals delivered at the maximum volumes humans are capable of. I'm immensely grateful that I did not have my child with me.Add to that the constant despairing howls of neglected dogs and you have a perfect sleepless night.Never stopping in Laura again. What a sh*thole.

Nice caravan park. Last stop before the start of the dirt road. Welcome stop on the way back from the cape.
