Soft lighting and comfortable. Our server Trace was helpful and friendly. My husband had the French onion soup and rainbow trout and I had a very fresh salad and Nashville Chicken. Delicious! For drinks... we ordered sidecars. So the bartender looked up how to make them and they were very good! They are going to put the drink on the menu . I highly recommend this place and will return for sure!
The food was very good when you finally received it. The service was horrible. It really wasn't our server fault it's pretty much like everywhere else. Not enough help. And what they have are very over work.
WOWZER!! We have been looking for a better than average place at the lake and we FINALLY have one!! HALLELUJAH!! A wonderful menu filled with something more than burgers. The atmosphere is kitschy with a nod to the 20's era. Everything is fresh and new. The food is SO GOOD! Our meal started with a delicious bowl of clam chowder. Then I had the perfectly cooked, oh so moist, chicken fried chicken platter with from scratch baked beans and quintessential mashed potatoes with gravy. My dining partner had the roast turkey sandwich with potato salad and raves about how good it was. We split the lemon berry cake oh my!! Leave room for dessert! It was heavenly. The staff was very sweet! So accommodating and chatty. The prices were right in line with the on-the-water eateries but the food is so much better!! We love so many of the west side restaurants but Bourbon Barrel takes it to a new level.
We were satisfied with every inspection of our visit. from service to eating to the coffee everything was exceptional.
Excellent eating, friendly staff. atmosphere very beautiful. fine eating best. I hope it stays here.
