Miyako Japanese Cuisine - Laurinburg

The shrimp fried rice was absolutely delicious. Taylor was an outstanding waiter; she made our lunch truly special.

Overall, my dish was outstanding, but my wife's meal consisted mainly of onions, and the sushi was just average. Considering it’s a Japanese restaurant in a smaller town, it was still enjoyable. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant, but the food was a bit inconsistent.

First time eating from here and had take out and it was excellent. Got 2 dinner combos and an appetizer. I called in the order, the lady who took my order was very polite, and patient with me. The vegetables are delicious and fresh. The appetizer, Bang Bang Shrimp, was fresh and tasty. Will eat from here again

All the reviews are quite misleading. The place wasn't very busy, yet the service was terrible. When we ordered our food, the power went out, but we were assured it was fine since they cook with gas. Unfortunately, the food tasted terrible. The service felt almost self-serve. To top it off, the bathroom was disgusting. Thankfully, we were just passing through and won't be returning to this place.

We had high hopes for this as we passed through from the highway. The food quality was poor and everything was a bit off: ?miso? soup with a very off putting smell and no seaweed or tofu, tempura with no panko- heavily breaded, veg roll with lettuce in it, all salad mix salad, no Japanese soy sauce (came with Chinese soy sauce). The service was friendly, everything was packaged well and our order was correct. If only the food was good! Hopefully they were just having and off day? and this was not their normal way of preparing these dishes.
