We came in for lunch after visiting the Olympic Museum. Greeting was a little cool and all the best tables on the terrace were occupied or reserved but we were shown to a perfectly acceptable place and given good service throughout the meal. Our teenage daughter is a vegetarian but there was sufficient choice for her in a menu which makes a serious attempt to provide healthy options for museum visitors inspired by the fitness of those celebrated in the exhibitions. We settled for simple lunch dishes and were well satisfied with our vegetarian burger, club sandwich and melon a l'italienne. It was day one in Switzerland so prices seemed eye-watering for a light lunch and drinks but, with the perspective of a few more days in the country, we can now see that this cafe offered fair value for quality, service and location.
Located within the museum, the cafe is a regular good museum cafeteria. Service is good and super friendly. The real bonus is the terrace with plunging view to the lake. This makes is a favorite place for local as well.
In a place like this one one can expect a restaurant "cater" expensive and unsatisfactory. In fact, the places are very beautiful, the welcome really courteous and the ratio of quality - correct price (we took the two proposals of dishes of the day.)
Everyone first asks "Who or what is Tom?" It's "The Olympic Museum." The café serves good food with a view.
