Fontenay - Lausanne

Parfait restaurant pour déguster un délicieux tartare sur leur belle et spatieuse terrasse! Service agréable, carte classique avec des plats maison.

Restaurant de quartier très sympatique et convivial tenu par des équatoriens très aimable. Magnifique terrasse (grande), nourriture très bonne, je recommande l'ardoise, le roastbeef et les pizzas avec une bonne bière Paulaner ;)

Fontenay appears to be the place distant locals come to have a drink after work and before returning to their homes. I say distant as they all seemed to drive off after a couple of hours imbibing. I had a pretty appaling Alsace wine as an aperitif and then steak tartare with frites, toast and salad. The tartare required seasoning but was pleasant enough once Tabasco was added. The frites were over cooked yet saggy, I can 't explain any more. Perhaps the wrong potatoes or if frozen, wrong oil temperature. I ate most of them tho. Salad was genuinely average. Usual mix of grated carrot, tinned sweet corn and chopped lettuce with runny shop type dressing. Service was adequate. No smile but a willingness once engaged in conversation. They had no problem allowing me to charge the phone upon which I am now writing this review. Will I return? No. Would I advise others to steer clear? No.

El verdadero restaurante de barrió donde los locales suelen tomar algo y hablar. Comida de calidad a precios medios. Merece la pena intentar el kanguro. La carta de los vinos tiene buenas referencias.

Décor hétéroclite de vieux bistrot de quartier qui date mais qui a son charme d'antan, difficile à trouver actuellement.Plats classiques excellents surtout de viande ( tartare, fondue chinoise, entrecôte, roastbeef, vitello tonnato, etc.) mais aussi au fromage (fondue,croûte). Pizzas (aussi à l'emporter). Deux terrasses, dont une abritée.
