Casual little Italian restaurant near the Lausanne Cathedral. Excellent food and service provided by the owner. Wise choice!

As a regular visitor, I can confidently say this restaurant serves the best pasta in Lausanne. The fresh pasta is always perfect cooked and bursting with flavor, making each visit a culinary delight. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner for 2 or a casual dinner with friends,il ghiotto is perfect choice for those who love great food.

We had an excellent meal at il Ghiotto. We were warmly welcomed at the restaurant which is positioned greatly, very close to the imposing Cathedral of Lausanne. One of our children has allergies and they were very accomodating to make sure she got a great meal as well. We had the pasta with truffle saus, which was amazing. Also the recommendation for the wine, a Antica from Puglia was very good, as it went very well with the food. It was clear that the people at the restaurant really loved their job and serving their customers in the best possible way.

The food is absolutely delicious, the staff very friendly and the atmosphere very cool - especially on a hot summer evening. What better way to end a day than by dining in an old narrow alleyway next to a cathedral? That's right, none =)

Excellent small restaurant in the old town. The food is original with fresh home made pasta very well presented. Dessert are fresh home made and delicious.The terrace is lovely specially in spring and summer.The owner serve you directly. She is very warm, interested in your satisfaction beyond formalities. You feel at home with her.Daily menus are very good.I go many times in the year since I discovered the place sometime ago.Highly recommended.
