La Place Publique - Laval

First time in this restaurant and surly the last . food is pricey with no taste at all . I 've chosen mixed salad with salmon and shrimp . it is not an entry but the main dish , there is nothing special lots of mixed lettuce and 3 shrimps and 2 small fine slices of smoked salmon . I thought may be just me I did not make a good choice , I asked my friends who took different plates such as linguini with chicken and grilled salmon with veggies .... they told me they are disappointed their plates are tasteless and are bellow the average.It's not recommended for families with children at all . there is disco music all the evening . the stuff is good and friendly

Went for the first time because we received a special offer for a 2 for 1 meal. The place seems nice on the outside and it is on the first floor. In the basement where the washrooms are, it's all the opposite. Lack of cleanness and regular maintenance. The food is very ordinary especially for the price. You will eat well but it is not standing out of the competition. It was an Ok meal for us but we had a 2 for 1. The staff is great and quick. We are not sure we would go back again.

We were enjoying a pleasant dinner on a Saturday night when a redhead woman got up on stage and danced poorly. Her performance was unpleasant and disrupted our meal. While the food was great, the dancers were terrible. I suggest that the restaurant prohibit customers from dancing on stage if they want to retain loyal customers. Amen.

We went on a Tuesday for their Cuban night. Great music. A bit on the loud side. Don't expect to hear what people are saying about you. Friendly staff. But the smell of the restaurant is bad, specially downstairs near the toilets. And the food is not really good. I had a hamburger and it is missing a lot of spices. Tastes nothing. I'm not sure of going back.

This restaurant is perfect for hosting large group gatherings.
