This restaurant on L'Acadie has been a disappointment every time I have visited. The service is a disaster.
I absolutely adore Mikasa! The sushi is outstanding and offered at a reasonable price for such a high-end restaurant. The sushi pizza is particularly phenomenal.
We recently visited Mikasa with friends. This was our third time at Mikasa and it was just as good as the first 2 visits. None of us are Sushi connaisseurs and the various names in their menu are hard to understand so we just simply asked our waitress to bring us the choices of the chef but we named what we liked and what we didn't want, for example no raw fish. We we're two couples and each plate that arrived had 6 or 8 sushis that were just superb. After the 4th plate they ask you if you want to continue. After the sixth plate we asked that they stop. The last plate were the dragon eyes and they were simply the best I've ever eaten anywhere. An added bonus is that this is a bring your own wine restaurant.5The service was excellent, the staff polite and very helpful.
I often go to Mikasa in Mtl and Laval (Centropolis). It is very good always. This place is very small. More like a take out. The wait for our orders was unbelievable. We are talking almost 3 hours seated and at least 1h between 2 orders. We thought they forgot us. The wakame salad was the only good thing. Every order we had (5 in total and 4 were overs 13$ ea as specialty) were rolled loosely, tasteless and way too small for the price. This is by far the worst sushi place i have ever been too. I feel robbed of over 100.$ Not until you get there you will figure out it is a bring your own wine. This cant be called Mikasa.
