Sushi Shop - Laval

I am so disappointed! Today, 11/01, I ordered the Diablo, Lion, Kamikaze, and Inferno sushi rolls to celebrate my daughter's success. I am a sushi fan, but my experience was not great. The Kamikaze and Lion rolls were mostly filled with cucumbers and it was difficult to find any salmon in them. The salmon in the Diablo roll was overpowered by a sauce that tasted terrible, so we had to throw it out. The Inferno roll was also disappointing, with only salty crumbs, dried tomato, and a tiny bit of cream cheese. The total cost was $38, but the value was only worth $3. Overall, it was an awful experience.

I have been to many sushi restaurants, and this one is definitely the best. Even though it is part of a chain, the quality of the sushi can vary depending on who is preparing it. This place adds a special touch to their sushi and I have never been disappointed. I should clarify that I am not comparing it to high-end sushi restaurants, but to fast-casual establishments. For fast sushi, this place is the best I have tried.

Je commande souvent des Sushis à cet endroit et je ne suis jamais déçue. Ils sont toujours frais et très savoureux.

3-stars for the nice decor, cleanliness and great service (infallibly in English - I appreciate that). I also know that this is "fast food sushi" and it's not supposed to be as good as the higher-end restaurants (though prices are a match) - so can I really hold the poor quality against them...? I go once in a while because it's open at odd hours when most sushi places are shut - like weekends at lunchtime or weekday afternoons. I'm also crazy for seaweed/edamame salads and theirs is the best. But the sushi... Yuk. Can you say filler??? Huge pieces filled mainly with fake crab, cucumber and thick rice. Hardly any fish, and *tasteless*! I always tell myself this is the last time, but... I never learn.
