Le Saint-Romain - Lavardac

The filet the bouf was the most tender meat I have ever tasted it was perfect. Good variety of quality ice cream tastes and desserts.

We visited twice in our week stay and we also had a meal from the 'mobile van ' in the village square at the festival. (Thursday 3rd August). The staff are friendly and efficient and we were greeted immediately and sat quickly, on both visits. We had cocktails to start, Pina Colada and Paradise (5.00 each) with a glass of Verre Muscadet (2.40) for the meal. Others had Meteor Pils and Coke zero (2.50 each). Two of us had the three course menu (26.00 each). Froi Gras (two types), Filet de Boeuf, profiteroles. One had the two course meal (22.00) On the second visit, we chose Entrecote 300g, Filet de Boeuf and Tagliatelles Carbonara. Desserts included banana split, fondant chocolate, profiteroles. All choices were excellent. Steak perfectly cooked, with fantastic pomme frites and carrots, cooked in flavoursome butter, with a sauce of choice on the side. Chilled tap water comes regularly to the table. Portions were very generous. Excellent food. Excellent value.

Two visits during a four night stay in the area. Christophe accommodated 6 of us at short notice and because we were late stayed open until we were ready to leave. Tasty starters and although we all had different main meals we were in agreement that they were excellent. The entrecôte steak was the star of the evening. Very friendly host who was happy to serve us with a bedtime drink two nights later.

Nous nous y sommes rendu un midi pour déjeuner. Nous avons attendu 10mn devant le comptoir sans que personne ne nous demande rien si ce n'est de ne pas gêné le service. Nous avons déjeuné avec la formule du midi. Repas bien ...sans plus ! Le patron ne attire pas la symphatie tant il fait la tête à croire que trop de client cela ne lui convient pas. Heureusement la sourire de la patronne rattrape un peu.

Une réunion entre amis dans ce restaurant collé au Super U. Une double raison de découvrir cet endroit à l'accueil chaleureux, aux plats généreux et délicieux et aux prix très abordables. Que ce soit en terrasse ou à l'intérieur, c'est un lieu à ne pas manquer. Nous y retournerons certainement.
