This restaurant offers a truly authentic Korean experience! As soon as we entered, we were greeted by a lively atmosphere filled with Korean patrons chatting and enjoying drinks. The food was superb and had the same spice level we fondly remember from our time in Korea. Although there was a slight wait for our meals, they kindly provided extra side dishes as an apology. I would highly recommend this place!
Delicious Korean cuisine with quick and friendly service. The complimentary side dishes perfectly enhanced my main meal. The prices are very reasonable, making it a family-friendly spot. My son absolutely loves dining here!
The nicest woman! Felt like my grandmother was taking care of me. The food was authentic as it can get in New England. Delicious, fresh, good portions. One of the best scallion/shrimp pancakes I’ve ever had
A childhood favorite of mine. The exteriors of the building, as well as the decor in the inside, do not do this charming little place justice. The woman in the kitchen has been cooking since they opened, and if anything were to happen to her the restaurant would have no anchor. She’s akin to a Korean grandmother, who is always excited to see you and make you a warm meal. There isn’t enough that I can say about the food at the Garden House. Upon being placed on your table straight from the kitchen, the dishes are beautiful. They taste just like Grandma makes them (if she’s Korean, of course), and I don’t doubt for a second that there’s great care and genuine love in every dish this restaurant serves. Just like a standard Korean meal, you’re greeted with your main dish alongside a classic banchan, the many little dishes that Korean food is known for. A part of me also loves this restaurant by association. My mother was Korean, and every so often on a rainy spring Saturday when I was a child she would take me out to the restaurant to greet the cook and share lunch. It’s a small fraction of my life, but I do consider a piece of this restaurant my home. I still take my sister here when she’s had a bad day at school or when she misses her mom. My hope is that new customers can come in with their friends and family and feel that same comfort and eventual familiarity that I do. There’s so much that this little restaurant can offer, and I want to share my passion for it.
