Jefferson's - Lawrence

The food was good, but the service could have been improved. I'm unsure if the restaurant is accustomed to serving large groups of African American patrons, as the experience felt quite different from restaurants in the city below.

The fryed mushrooms is absolutely amazing as well as the fryed oysters

No bartender at first. When they did come in went and had conversation with existing customers who they were friends with skipping new customers like me. I finished my meal 10 minutes ago my plate is here with zero attention since she shoved my plate in front of me. Extremely disappointed because I’ve loved Jefferson’s for 20 years I think.

Don't go to Jefferson's on game days.... you are expected to eat and get out...or rent the table by the hour unless you are actively eating.... and some waitresses will not refill your drinks unless you pay for each drink... I give them a minus rating!!!

We enjoyed a tasty meal, particularly the hamburger steak which was excellent. It would be better if they didn't make it resemble a burger without a bun.
