Place had 7 TVs all turned to the same KU football game but manager refused to turn on sound because the Jayhawks were playing too poorly. They instead, decided to blast bad 2000?s music so loud it was impossible to hear the people at the table. Serverwas great and attentive and the beer was good. Would probably stick to the original location.
Boyfriend and I went in Saturday night. We requested and received a paper menu. We then waited 25-30 minutes to place a drink order. Waiter passed us multiple times and even stopped to watch the football game, so he was not being stretched too thin. Gotup and left since he never took our order.
The service at this restaurant was outstanding and the food was fantastic. The special butternut squash soup was truly exceptional. I also thoroughly enjoyed the arugula salad with grilled chicken. The food was so delicious that I finished it quickly without even considering taking a photo. The restaurant also has a wonderful patio.
The beer at this restaurant was excellent, but the food and wait time for the food were lacking. We started with the nachos, which were fresh and tasty but lacked toppings for the price. Our food order took over an hour to arrive, with my wife ordering a Reuben and me ordering the LBC burger. While the Reuben was good, it was not worth the high price. The LBC burger was okay, but the beef used had a lot of gristle in it. The restaurant should consider using higher quality beef from their distributor or local farm-raised beef. Overall, this location did not meet the standards set by the East side location. Despite our server apologizing for the slow service, I left feeling disappointed after spending $70. I will likely not be returning to this location.
