Plenty of ice cream in the medium waffle cone for each of us! The ice cream is smooth and creamy, and the waffle cones are freshly made, I loved the pumpkin pie and the turtle! The pumpkin cheesecake had big chunks of cheesecake in it. The boys had butter brickle, Reese's and butter pecan, It must've been good because it disappeared quickly. We all really enjoyed it and it was a great way to end the evening celebrating together in downtown Lawrence. So good I forgot to take pictures.
Best Ice-cream I have ever tasted and the customer service is amazing
Ice cream is great--creamy and thick, sweet but not overly so, and they have lots of flavors. However, the layout and info could be better. The display cases don 't have any labels on the glass; you have to bend down to see the labels for ice cream flavors, sometimes cramming several words of ingredients on a label size meant for a couple of words. I wouldn 't be surprised if figuring out what 's what is half the wait time, unless you order the same thing every time or have a solid go-to flavor. Also, some of the names are downright opaque or contrary to what you 'd expect. For instance, Da Bomb is drawn in red, white, and blue on their flavor chalkboard like those fun Bomb Pops, so I was expecting something with cherry and blue raspberry. No--the flavor is cookie dough, chocolate flakes, and Oreos. Graduation Day didn 't hint at what the flavor is, but the label indicated brownies, cashews, and caramel swirls. Another note: I got wrongly charged once and then when they corrected it, they double charged me, so just check your transactions. I personally like their 5-flavor sampler cup $4.85). I don 't mind mixing flavors in one cup and it 's about a large cup 's worth of ice cream. Their 6-flavor flight is more expensive, but the flavors are kept separate. My personal notes: Orange sherbet: good, exactly what you expect Birthday bash: vanilla ice cream with chocolate cake and sprinkles; I prefer this to sweet birthday batter type ice cream flavors Strawberry lemonade sherbet: mostly just tasted strawberry Strawberry ice cream: small, evenly sized frozen strawberry chunks; surprisingly good for a standard flavor Muddy Maddy 's: Oreo and coffee and fudge; pretty good Cookie monster: no soft cookies like in other cookies n ' cream types; almost peanut buttery Mint chocolate chip: disappointingly kind of meh; more bitter mint than sweet mint Toasted coconut: good, exactly what you 'd expect Peaches cream: tastes like peach gummy rings; I 'm not a fan of that fake peach taste Rock choc jayhawk: basic chocolate-y goodness Queen of hearts: raspberry-covered chocolate; too many inclusions to ice cream ratio, not enough ice cream for every chocolate-covered raspberry chunk
Love this place. A ton of ice cream choices, cone choices, topping choices...just go there, it's necessary, I promise. Even if there is a line, just wait, it is worth it.
Homemade works of art into an ice cream form. Many varieties to try, including chocolate covered cones of sorts. Fairly well hidden in Lawrence, next to a soda store (also check them out weird flavors). 10/10; Would recommend.
