About the rest they cannot say enough about this place. excellent service, ambiente and eat!
I love this place so much that I always get the same. we had reservations, but we decided to sit on the bar. it was my birthday dinner.
I haven't heard anything but good reviews of 801. I wasn't disappointed! The special Sunday meal was impressive enough, but I decided to get something else. I started pairing with a shrimp cocktail, followed by the Ceaser salad and glass white wine. Not much wine, but with her wine list, how could I refuse. The stopper salad was great and shrimp cocktail had some very large and fresh shrimps. I paired the 12 oz New York Strip with Lobster Macaroni and Cheese, Herb Spinach. The steak was cooked in medium size for completion. The Lobster Macaroni and Cheese were stellar with great and abundant praises. The spinach was coated in this tasteful sauce, which was so good I left the bowl after eating all spinach. The whole experience was great. I recommend 801 Chophouse to anyone who wants one of a kind of top line experiences.
Dinner at 801 Chophouse last night was phenomenal! I knew something about 801 last night, but my guests were first timers. I was greeted at the door with a warm smile and a sincere Hello by the Host, Lauren. Stunning, professional, efficient are just three words for this young lady. She offered to accompany me on my table, with the opportunity to wait for my guests at the bar. I chose the latter because I wanted to cross the cocktail and wine list. I've never been much of a drinker and didn't want to drink, but I really think a well-thought-out cocktail and wine list puts a restaurant above the rest. The bar was full of refreshments. Tom (Denke Clark Kent, big with black edge glaze), Josh, Blair and Jessica (all Oscar Party/Lady Gaga Fanclub chic vibe) were welcoming and helpful. We sat at a very cozy round table for 5 with a great view of the dining room. What really set up the night for success is that we had a few servers not only one! The Dynamic Duo by Andrea and Nick was the epitome of Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire. Attention not yet intrusive, informative, cheerful, graceful, professional and perfect in any aspect of the service. I'm not sure if these two have already been together, but they've paired together like sweetie. Andrea recommended a wonderfully refreshing non-alcoholic drink that was crisp with a hint of lime. Nick presented a tablet of her meat cuts and gave us a quick tutorial on her concept and our restaurants. All decided to order the Clayton Restaurant Week menu, which is almost identical to their weekly dinner menu. Everything was delicious and perfectly prepared. We felt royal because not only the AGM Todd Martin was over to check us, Griffin Letch paid us a visit and said hello. The real show stopper was when Chef Christopher Dennis came out to ask us how the dinner went. That was completely unexpected and showed how great it is to dinate at 801!
