The ribs and brisket were incredibly tender and juicy. The beans and potato salad were packed with flavor. The food was outstanding! I will definitely be coming back, as I love good BBQ! Plus, it has been rated the best in Gwinnett for several years!
HERE'S HOW TO ORDER AND PAY: First off, yes, it’s located inside the Exxon gas station. Head into the store as if you’re going to pay for gas, but then take a left towards the restaurant area. You’ll find the menu taped down on the counter. After you place your order with the person at the counter, they will hand you a handwritten ticket. Take that ticket to the cashier located on the other side of the store near the cigarette section, and pay (you can use either card or cash). The cashier will staple a printed receipt to your handwritten ticket. Then, bring it back to the food counter and give it to the person taking orders. There are tables available for dine-in. Once your order is called, you can grab your food. Phew, that’s all you need to do! I found the pulled pork and potato salad to be absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and worked efficiently.
This was one of the best barbecue meals I’ve ever experienced. The ribs were incredibly tender and packed with flavor. The brisket had a perfect smoke ring and tasted fantastic. We sampled all the side dishes they offered, and each one was excellent. The cobblers were also delightful. The staff was friendly and authentic. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting this place as soon as you can!
Pretty good pressed sandwiches. I ordered the Pressed Brisket and Redneck Cuban. The Cuban was delicious. But, they served it with a ?mojo sauce? that although is nice and sour, it did not go well imho with sandwich. Mojo is traditionally used as a marinade, btw. The brisket sandwich had a side of the sweet heat sauce which was flavorful but definitely no heat. The horseradish mayonnaise on the sandwich was lacking horseradish. All I really tasted was hot Mayo which is quite unpleasant. Made the bread guts soggy. Despite my rambles, I want to give them a try, again. Oh, I forgot about the collard greens.. ate em but forgot about them. Needs salt!
Got my emissions done next door and asked the guy about the Tipsy Pig BBQ and he said I had to try it. I ordered the whole chicken, side of mac cheese, coleslaw, and baked beans. Took the food home and this is what it looked like. It taste as good as it looks. Give them a shot you will not regret it.
