Stacks Cafe - LAWSON

Lawson's Good Cafe is a great spot for takeaway food, with a variety of options like burgers, fish and chips, chicken, and other items typically found at a fish shop.

I visited Stacks 4 months ago shortly after they changed their name. The burger was just okay, the chips were cooked in old, unfiltered oil, and the tables were dirty. Today, I decided to give them another chance. Unfortunately, they didn't have the fish cake so I settled for the plain burger. It was excellent! The patty had a hot char flavor, the salad was fresh and crunchy, and the bun was proper (not like the sugar-filled ones you get at other burger places). But, the tables really need to be cleaned better. I can overlook crumbs left behind by someone else a few minutes ago, but dried sauce and swipe lines from a dirty cloth are hard to ignore. I plan to come back next week for a burger, fish cake, and hopefully clean tables. If they can improve in all three areas, I will become a regular customer. If not, I'm sorry but they will have lost my business.

Stacks Cafe is in my opinion is the best in the mountains for value on a decent burger.The meat was not paper thin tasted great,even the buns were fresh... $10 for a burger with the lot you can't go wrong...

This restaurant is a wonderful spot to grab a bite to eat.

They make the best fish chips and the batter on their scallops is scrumptious! The only negative is that they were raw and I was unable to eat them. Chips are Yummmmmmmmmmm!
