We saw the reviews that talked about their chicken fried steak, so that is what my husband ordered. It lived up to the reviews and was delicious.Kid-friendliness: There would be no problem for kids eating here.Parking: There are plenty of parking spaces available. It's also great that there were many spaces that if you are handicapped you can park easily and close to the door.Wheelchair accessibility: They have normal handicap accessibility when entering the diner. They have a few tables where you could sit in your wheelchair and sit at the table. It would be a bit tight to maneuver on the side with the booths.
I ordered the Hot Roast beef sandwich. It was a shredded beef that was too salty for me. The rest of the food was delicious and excellent. My wife ordered the open face steak which a super large chicken fried. She was impressed with the green beans, mashed potatoes and white gravy. The diner salads were great. It is a small country diner that you need try. I will go back and try something else.
What an amazing diner hidden on the south end of Lawton. Right off the 44 for those heading North to OKC or South to wherever. The food is typical diner food, but it was amazing. Had the sausage omelet and the ladies had the small breakfast. Everything between the hashbrowns, bacon, toast, biscuits and Gravy were all delicious. The hospitality of the servers was just as good as the food. There was never an issue getting more water or coffee. I'm a huge hot sauce kinda guy, and she brought me all 3 of the hot sauces that they carry plus their homemade salsa. Bug win for Wright's Family Diner today. Will be back.OkBye
My wife and I decided to stop to have breakfast here. Since we've driven past the place hundreds of times and see there are cars in parking lot the food must be good. The drinks were delivered, two coffees, and we used up the creamers on the table (just four of them). We asked one waitress, refilling my coffee cup, for more creamers. She never came back with more. We had to grab the dish from the next table. When the food arrived, there was plenty of it. We each had omelettes, hash browns, and toast. My hash browns were stone cold. Masking it with tabasco sauce made it okay. I would have said something to waitress, but hearing a similar complaint from the next table and then a slew of excuses from the waitress why bother. Other than the cold hash browns, the food was good. We might go back there as one visit, and not being bad, won't stop us from making that decision. Recommended? Maybe!
We were looking for a family diner that would give us some regular home cooking. This place hit all of the notes. The staff was friendly, especially our waitress. The food was excellent. My traveling partner had the beef tips, and I had the hamburger steak. The gravy was very good, and so were the potatoes. I will be coming back on my way through Lawton again!
