C&B Maddox Famous Chicken - Layton

UPDATE: RIP OFF for price.Decided to give another try, but won't be back. The pieces of chicken weren't even the size of the lid of their side of potatoes. I just wonder how chicken legs and thighs can be that small. The chicken thighs wasn't even the size of a 50 cent piece. Between the leg and thighs, i probably had 4 bits. Also, once again, after I left order was incomplete. UGH!!!! Whenever I'm in Layton I stop, but a bit disappointed this time. I got home no honey butter and chicken leg hardly had any meat. I think it was a chicken that was starved. Check your order before you leave.?

The worst service we ever had!!! This is twice in the last couple of weeks the older lady has been RUDE. We order, have to wait in line, THEN when we get to the window she says they are out of turkey steaks because they only make like 2 at a time to last them all day with an attitude. Isn’t Maddox known to have fresh ready Turkey Steaks? I’m surprised you are still in business.

OK first off. Maddox is usually pretty good. The service today was horrible. Pulled up to the drive-through cars in front of me pulled up when it was my turn to order. I sat there for over 10 minutes no response no nothing. I called out several times hello? Nothing. I pull up to the drive-through window and explain I waited Nobody answered ect. Anyway I would like to place my order. She told me I will have to pull around and get back in line to place my order at the the speaker. Are you freaking kidding me?

Their chicken is the best, no question about it. Coleslaw and potato salad are excellent. I wish we had these guys back home!

When we moved to Layton 4 years ago we were told that this was the most amazing place to get fried chicken ... people were so right!! We stopped going about a year to a year 1/2 so because the size of the chicken they served decreased significantly to very tiny pieces for a not so tiny price! We decided to give it a try again tonight... hoping that maybe our experience would be what it once was... ...Utter Disappointment! The rolls cornpones were luke warm at best tasted a day old. The chicken is still the smallest drumsticks thighs I've ever seen! The corn had no taste seemed barely warmed up in boiling water. The mashed potatoes were still yummy so at least they have that going for them. For 16pc of tiny chicken, 4 sides 1 doz stale rolls/cornpones we paid $60 !! Sadly we've decided that this was our last visit to what USED TO BE the best fried chicken in Layton... quite possibly the state. Shame to watch a local company go downhill like this.
