I chose the Dessert Winning Games, but after seeing others who had ordered the pain, I decided to do the wrong thing. want to go back and try the unlimited gambas prawns next time!
My man and I have booked a table for dinner and were informed that we would put ourselves in the house because of the weather conditions that were cold and windy. we arrived and were directed at a table. when I asked the waitress, she said that she was confused. boss and there was actually only one table in the restaurant and it was outside. it would not have been for the fact that we had traveled some distances to reach the restaurant, and there were no other restaurants around, we would have gone. we had no choice but to sit on this table (despite having no jumper/coat to wear) and were said we could move in later. there was no excuse, but a sharp, rude response from the waitress that this was the only table, although we explained that we were sleeping an 8 months old baby in a stroll that would get cold. she couldn't have taken care of less. we ordered and ate our main course outside. after that we asked again if we could move to the house after many people left the restaurant. they told us that the people who had booked for the later evening were sitting inside (the fact that we had also booked to stay inside) was the priority and we have to sit outside in the cold. the waiting employees were incredibly rude and were not apologetic anyway, or the understanding of our situation with a young child. we have never had such a bad restaurant experience or have been treated with such uneasy before. eating was totally subdued and with so many other beautiful restaurants on il de ré I would not waste their time or money here, especially if they have children.
Great place. everything was fabulous they take a table on the terrace when they can see the grill live in action. they will do child parts of the main thing and the desserts are amazingly definitiw trying to the French toast.
Our airbnb house was around the corner from the Aile de Re restaurant. We watched the clientele every evening and squeezed in a last minute reservation just before the kitchen closed. Very friendly owner (also runs a restaurant in St. Martin de Re helped us...with tools to repair one of our cycles when the pedal came off ;
We went to a birthday meal, we booked through more measurers and got a really fast answer to accept the booking. we were warmly welcomed when we arrived and received a selection of tables. the menu is really interesting and the whole amount of food cooked. on an open fire. the eclade de moules on the fire boiled were amazing as the steaks. for dessert, richard had the Café-Gourmand, who was spectacular. visit them when they are on the island.
