However, if you’re interested in engaging conversations, good brewed coffee, and a unique experience, you should definitely pay a visit. The owner is truly exceptional, and I look forward to chatting with him again someday. The walls are adorned with his impressive collection of antiques, featuring some real gems. Feel free to ask him about the stories behind the items, but don’t inquire if any are for sale – they aren't.
I met the wonderful owner of this place last year and enjoyed some of his amazing $1 coffee. I'm checking in today to see how he’s doing and to hope that this unique gem is still in operation. Wishing you and your business all the best during these challenging times, and I can't wait to see you open again soon.
This charming little coffee and book shop is run by an incredible man. His captivating stories and anecdotes make the experience truly special. Don’t let anything deter you from visiting—this place is absolutely worth it. The owner genuinely cares more about the experience than making money, offering coffee for just $1 with free refills.
In our recent visit to Le Claire we found that this gem of a coffee shop was closed due to the pandemic. That was sad! Because we sat down with the owner Gregg after watching numerous residents of this beautiful town stop to visit him. What an amazing historian of the town. This store has been in his family for over 75 years! We hope to return for the grand reopening for some coffee!!
We very much enjoyed are time talking to Gregg. He was very entertaining with many interesting stories. We will definitely stop in for tea, coffee and conversation again. Never judge a book by its cover for what words are read may be life changing
