It is best to book the weekend or during the holidays. local specialities on the menu. We chose a very correct melt. the bread was this however mediumly suitable (too friable.) slightly kitsch decor (naturalized mountain animals.) special mention for homemade apple pie at 3,50€ the share and which is worth desserts from the Anetian restaurants at 8€. I recommend the place!
Restaurant located a few kilometers upstream of the village of the Grand Terminal. traditional mountain cuisine with fondue, tartiflette, pierrade, reblochonnade, raclette, diot sausages etc...the rates are reasonable and the kitchen is of quality with many local products. excellent service. tried with family and friends.
I had lunch here twice as a break during my day of xcountry ski at the areas of Les Plans and Auberge Nordique, a short bus ride (the G) from le Grand Bornand. There was one staff member on duty front of house who raced around and did a great job. The first lunch I sat outside in the sunshine and had a goat's cheese salad in the sunshine and the second day I had delicious chicken inside. The room is small, cosy and very warm atmosphere - xcountry skiers, esf instructors and walkers all happily tucking in to wonderful food. I saw fabulous desserts, local Savoyard dishes being consumed with gusto and the mood was delightful. It is right beside the bus stop back to Grand Bornand which is very handy as the buses only go once an hour so it is a lucky place to sit and admire the beautiful scenery while waiting for the next one.

I had here twice as a break during my day xcountry ski in the areas les plans and auberge nordique, a short bus ride (the g) of le grand bornand. there was a coworker at the service station in front of the house that drove around and made a great job. the first lunch I sat outside in the sunshine and had a goat cheese salad in the sunshine and on the second day I had delicious chicken inside. the room is small, cozy and very warm atmosphere xcountry skiers, esf trainer and walker all happy to tucken in wonderful eating. I saw fabulous desserts, local savoyard dishes with gusto consumed and the mood was lovely. it is right next to the bus stop back to grand bornand, which is very practical as the buses go only once per hour, so it is a happier place to sit and admire the beautiful landscape while waiting for the next.
