We had a salad to share as a starter, a chickpea curry and the Tofu-dish. Everything tasted wonderful. The prices are higher then what we're used to in Mauritius, but still okay (about 2700 MUR for 3 plates with in total 4 sides, 1 bottle of water and 2 mojito). Reservations are highly recommended, we were lucky to get a table without a reservation As it's always windy here in Le Morne be sure to bring yourself a jacket or something like that.
The fried tofu I ate here was the best tofu dish I had lived in all my life, it was so delicious. it is large cubes of tofu with red paprika and swash in a very tasty and a little spicy chili sauce that was rich in taste and very filling. it comes with reis. samosas also tasted very well, although the part was small because it is a bit. I recommend to sit in there because of the fly and I recommend ordering the mais without the butter, because it is then vegan. very friendly staff, simply nice and appealable. Go.
There were vegan options available, so we checked with the waitress to confirm if they were truly vegan. We decided to order the roasted tofu and the chickpea curry, both served with rice. The portion sizes were quite generous. The food was incredibly tasty, especially the tofu. The prices were reasonable, as we paid around EUR 25 for two dishes and drinks. We would recommend this restaurant if you're in the area.
The food at this restaurant is fantastic, but there are limited vegan options available. It seems to be the only restaurant in Le Morne offering vegan dishes. We shared a salad for our appetizer, followed by a delicious chickpea curry and tofu dish for dinner. The prices are higher than what we are used to in Mauritius, but still reasonable (about 2700 MUR for 3 dishes, 4 drinks, 1 bottle of water, and 2 Mojitos). It is highly recommended to make a reservation, as we were lucky to get a table without one. Due to the constant wind in Le Morne, it is advisable to bring a jacket or something to keep warm.
We had several vegan options to choose from and made sure to confirm with the waitress that they were indeed vegan. We decided on the fried tofu and the chickpea curry, both served with rice. The portions were generous and the food was delicious, particularly the tofu. The prices were reasonable, as we paid around EUR 25 for two dishes and drinks. I would recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.
