Faster and polite service. great eating at a good price. could not ask for more.
A friend and I have explored leadville and Chinese food. the restaurant itself looks beautiful inside but can only be occupied by an older Asian woman and (maybe) a chef on the back on a Sunday. the woman watched a show on the tw while she waited for us to order, but that didn't disturb me, just reminds me of Chinese shops in new york or some years back I experienced. we ordered some lotus-seed sweet rolls and grilled as appetizers, and ahuh and vegetable hotpot and oolong tee. I should mention that after we had set ourselves, I began to read reviews and some bad reviews mentioned food poisoning and only bad experiences in general. I can say that we don't get food poisoning and the chicken/Gemüse hotpot tasted great, but was served before the appetizers. the food was all well cooked, but I wonder how well the dishes are cleaned and leadville water sucks but the oolong tee was great. if they want to drink something, they get a tee (it's like a few dollars for a whole top.) the rolls were not super aromatic, but they were also not American. I dived them in the hot-headed broth and they tasted good. I waited and joked about waiting for food poisoning, but it never happened. 4 of 5 stars optimistic.
The reception that we received after the order of three meals and two drinks contained different prices from what was included in the menu. the menu says that due to corona, the prices increased $1.50 for chicken, $2 for garnel, etc., however, when we received the bill, the $8.50 $1.50 meal was listed as $12.50 and we were charged $9.50 for the $7.50 drinks listed. public awareness of wrong advertising and increased prices about what they are said to pay.
This is the first restaurant review I've ever written, and I'm an eternally optimistic, glass half full kind of person. But boy the takeout we just tried to eat from Szechuan Taste was one of the very worst meals of our lives. Chicken teriyaki, vegetable rolls and hot and sour soup. All of it was really, really bad chicken was basically some sort of gristly fried patty, sliced up with a couple of broccoli crowns. Vegetable rolls greasy and tasteless. And hot and sour soup how can that not be good? Well, this was just bad. Also kept coming across bits of foil in the soup not sure about that. Hoping we don't regret the dinner in terms of food poisoning. But we will definitely not be returning and we're working on becoming locals here in Leadville.
